Yazmin - Yoga Mexican Founder
CO-FOUNDER

Yazmin

Yazmin is the heart behind the design experience at Somaia. Born in Mexico, she combines a deep understanding of local culture with a passion for wellbeing, meaningful human connection, and intentional experience design.

Before co-founding Somaia, she coordinated highly demanding private aviation services for VIP clients and contributed to the organization of international forums with the United Nations in Switzerland. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development and an MBA from Paris, bringing together international experience, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to creating experiences with purpose.

For the past two years Yazmin specializes in designing and coordinating bespoke luxury experiences throughout Mexico. From intimate proposals in paradise-like settings to highly personalized celebrations and events she has developed a deep understanding of what transforms a beautiful moment into an unforgettable memory.

Her passion for wellness has been a constant thread throughout her journey. After travelling and studying yoga in India and Nepal, she developed a deep understanding of what it means to design spaces where people feel genuinely present.

At Somaia, she serves as Chief Experience Designer, leading local partnerships, supplier relationships, and experience curation across Mexico. Her ability to combine warmth, attention to detail, and seamless coordination ensures that every experience reflects both authenticity and excellence.

Simon

Simon leads partnerships and business development at SOMAIA.

Originally from France, he combines a background in business development, marketing, and commercial strategy with a genuine passion for human connection and meaningful experiences.

Naturally curious and energetic, he has spent years exploring different cultures, philosophies, and approaches to wellbeing, always seeking to better understand what brings people together and creates lasting impact.

At Somaia, he leads partnerships, business development, and strategic growth, building relationships with creators, organizations, venues, and collaborators who share the same commitment to quality and authenticity.

Passionate about movement, breathwork, and lifelong learning, Simon believes that the strongest experiences, like the strongest communities, are built on trust, shared vision, and genuine human connection.

OUR MEETING

From the Himalayas to the Caribbean

Our paths first crossed in Pokhara, Nepal, while we were both exploring the world through travel, learning, and personal growth.

What connected us wasn't only our shared values, but a common vision of the kind of experiences we wanted to create: experiences that bring people together, foster genuine connection, and leave a meaningful impact.

Today, from our home in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we combine local knowledge, international experience, and complementary expertise to help organizations, creators, and communities turn that vision into reality.

Because we believe the best experiences are not measured by where you go, but by the connections you create along the way.
